ENGINE OIL
Engine oil level (Fig. 15)
Check the engine oil level — flexible
maintenance
Check the oil level before starting work
each day. If the engine has been running,
stop the engine and allow the oil to drain
back into the sump. Check the oil level
with the dipstick (2).
If necessary, remove the oil filler cap
(1) and top up with fresh oil of the correct
grade.

To raise the oil level from minimum to
maximum it requires: 1,5 litre (2 US pts).
The oil level must be maintained be-
tween the ‘MIN’ and ‘MAX’ marks on the
dipstick (3) with the tractor standing on
level ground.
Changing the engine oil (Fig. 16)
Change the engine oil every 250
hours. (In hard work conditions or low
quality fuel, change oil every 125 hours
or 6 months, whichever is sooner.)
1. With the tractor standing on level
ground, place a drain pan beneath the
engine sump, then remove the engine
sump plug.
2. Allow the old engine oil to drain out
completely.
3. Refit the drain plug and tighten se-
curely.
