TRANSMISSION AND HYDRAULICS
Oil level (Fig. 35)
Check the transmission and hy-
draulic oil level every 100 hours.
Fig. 35:
Max
Min
The oil level must be maintained be-
tween the
‘MAX’
and
‘MIN’
marks on the
dipstick for normal use. When using auxil-
iary hydraulics with implements which re-
quire a large quantity of oil or when work-
ing on hillsides or sloping land, ensure that
the transmission oil level is maintained at
the
‘MAX’
mark on the dipstick.
Fig. 36:
To check the oil level:
1. Move the tractor onto level ground.
2. Stop the engine.
3. Unscrew the dipstick and check the oil
level.
4. If necessary, remove the filler plug and
add oil to the correct level (see Fig. 36).
Transmission/hydraulic oil
Change the transmission/hydraulic
oil every 1000 hours.
1. Move the tractor to level ground.
2. Place a suitable container beneath
each drain plug.
3. Remove the two drain plugs (Fig. 37).
4. Place the hydraulic control levers in
the fully ‘DOWN’ position.
Fig. 37:
5. Remove, clean and refit the oil strainer.
6. Refit the drain plugs. Then refill the
system through the transmission oil
filler to the required level, with an ap-
proved oil (Fig. 36).
7. After allowing time for the oil to set-
tle, check the level of the oil, then, if
necessary, add further oil and refit the
filler plug.
