Always ensure that with the im-
plement fitted the linkage can travel
through its full range without straining
the check chains or stabilizers.

The check chains prevent the lower
links from swaying into the rear wheels.
Ensure that the chains are not twisted and
are correctly fitted as shown.
For Category 1 implements set the
check chain length as shown in Fig. 25.

Stabilizers (Fig.27)
(Optional accessory)
The optional stabilizers will control
the sway of the lower links and attached
equipment when in work or being trans-
ported. This is especially important when
operating on slopes or near fences, walls
or ditches and with certain implements.
Check your Implement Operator Instruc-
tion Book.
Once fitted, link stabilizers need not
be removed from the tractor, but to ensure
easy and efficient operation the following
points must be observed:
1. Check chains must not be removed
when the stabilizers are fitted.
2. Ensure that the stabilizers have side-
ways movement when the links are
