Advanced Settings
Parameters on this page are described below:
Field
Description
Global Mode
Enable/Disable 802.1X feature globally.
By default, the 802.1X feature is disabled globally on the device.
Tip:
802.1X settings take effect only when the 802.1X feature is
enabled on both the device and designated ports.
Authentication
Server IP Address
Specify a valid Authentication Server IP that is on the same net
segment as the switch's management IP address.
Authorized
Shared-Key
Enter the authorized shared key as it is on the Radius
authentication/authorization server.
Re-authentication
Enable or disable re-authentication on all ports.
Re-authentication
Time-out Timer
Specify an interval for device to initiate an 802.1X
re-authentication.
Client
Time-out
Timer
This timer is started while the switch sends EAP-Request/MD5
Challenge request to a targeted client. If no response is received
from the client within the set time, switch will resend the request.
2.2 802.1X Port Setup
To configure 802.1X port settings, click
Security > 802.1X > 802.1X Port Setup
.
To configure 802.1X port settings on a single port, click the corresponding port number.
