TDX WHEELCHAIRS
When first learning to drive, select a SLOW speed and try to drive the wheelchair AS
SLOWLY as possible by pushing the joystick slightly forward. This exercise will help you
learn to utilize the full potential of the proportional control and allow you to start and
stop smoothly.
To operate the wheelchair, perform the following:
1. Adjust speed control knob/switch to the appropriate setting.
2. Position the ON/OFF switch into the ON position.
3. Maneuver the joystick in the following manner:
A. To move
FORWARD
- Push forward on the joystick.
B. To move in
REVERSE
- Pull back on the joystick.
C. To turn
RIGHT
- Move the joystick RIGHT.
D. To turn
LEFT
- Move the joystick LEFT.
E. To
STOP
- Release the joystick and the wheelchair will quickly slow down and
then stop.
