2. Select the RAID level that will allow the new RAID configuration to become Optimal.
3. Select Apply. The Reconstructing Dialog displays. You can click on the Info button to
display detailed information about the reconstrucion operation being performed.
4. Review the changes that have been made and select OK when finished.
Selecting Change Policy
You can select Change Policy from the Logical Drive x pulldown menu to change the write,
read, and cache policies of a selected array.
To change a RAID policy:
1. From the Power Console main menu, place the cursor on the logical drive for which you
want to change the RAID policy, and click the right mouse button.
2. Select Change Policy from the Logical Drive x pulldown menu. The following dialog
displays:
3. Select the down arrow button under each policy (Write, Read, or Cache) to display a list
of the available policies for an array. Click on a new policy to select it.
4. Select OK when you have completed all policy changes.
Securing Power Console
Access to Power Console should be limited only to specified users because it is not protected
with a password. Use the Windows NT administrator utilities to assign permissions to allow
only selected personnel to copy, move, delete, or execute a power console file. Log in as
guest to make sure the permission changes are saved.
