15. Reuse / durability
The AKTIVLINE
®
seat shell system is only partially
suitable for reuse� It is manufactured specifically to
patient measurements and needs and represents a
custom-made model in accordance with § 12 MPG� If
a suitable patient is found for the further use of an
AKTIVLINE
®
seat shell, then all patient measurements
must be checked carefully and the set shell needs to
be adapted according to the new measurements� A
precondition is, that there are no modifications to the
technical design of the wheelchair�
During handover, it is essential to ensure that this is
accompanied by all the documentation necessary for
use (including these operating guidelines)� Further-
more, one should always contact the manufacturer to
ensure that reuse is possible and that the name and
address of the new user are available�
The service life of the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system is
given between 2 and 8 years under normal conditions�
Growth and changes in the development of the patient
can lead to deviations as this is a custom-made care
system� Regular checks and service and maintenance
work can have a positive effect on the service life of
your medical device� The degree of disability as well
as the duration of daily use affect the service life� The
product's service life may fluctuate greatly in relation
to the above mentioned factors�
16. Disposal / environmental compatibility
The issue of environmental protection is a high priority
at interco GmbH�
We only process environment-friendly materials and
specifically avoid manufacturing processes which are
harmful to the environment� All packaging materials
can be recycled� The AKTIVLINE
®
seat system can be
dismantled into separate material components to com-
ply with optimal recycling and disposal� Please make
inquiries with your local waste management company
about the regulations concerning disposal and recy-
cling� All components of the product are to be disposed
of according to the respective country-specific environ-
mental regulations�
