UTILITY MENU – Software Update 

 

 
The MEQ-2000’s architecture is designed to provide for software updates via the RS-232 

interface.  

 

 

 

To perform an update, it is necessary to download the MEQ-2000 interface software for 
your PC. This software is available on the Inter-M website (www.inter-m.com or www.inter-

m.net) or on the Algorithmix website (www.algorithmix.com).  

 
You may also download the current software updates at these sites. Compare the 

current software version installed in your MEQ-2000 with the version available on the 

Internet. The currently installed version may be viewed in the opening screen upon 
switching the unit on, or by accessing the 

Device ID

 screen (see page 45). 

 
To perform an update, connect the MEQ-2000’s RS-232 interface to a serial port on your 

computer. The MEQ-2000 should be placed in 

UPDATE

 mode before beginning the 

software download. Follow the steps as detailed in the download procedure. 
 

To avoid any damage or loss of data, it is advisable to contact your dealer for detailed 

information on performing an update. 
 

The 

INIT

 key begins the initialization of preset memory and 

deletes all user presets

. Use 

this feature only if you wish to reset the unit to factory defaults.
