MEQ-2000 24/96 Multimode Equalizer
AMPL adjusts the signal amplitude over a range of –144 to 0dBFs, in increments
of 0.1dB for 24-bit output; -120dBFs for 20-bit output; and –96dBFs for 16-bit
output.
FREQ adjusts the sine wave frequency over a range of 10Hz to 43.5kHz in 1/12
octave (COARSE) or 1Hz (FINE) increments.
PHASE
adjusts the relative phase of the CH2 sine wave in relation to CH1, over a
range of 0 to 360 degrees in 1 degree increments.
For signal type FREQ SW , the parameter window displays AMPL , F RAN and STEP . F RAN
(frequency range) switches between STAND (standard = 20Hz to 20kHz) and EXTEN
(extended = 10Hz to 43.5kHz). STEP selects the sweep frequency interval: 1/3, 1/6 or 1/12
octave.
For
PINK and WHITE noise generators, only the AMPL parameter is active.
For CONST signal type, the AMPL parameter changes to VALUE , which offers a range of
ten hexadecimal constants: 000000, FFFFFF, 555555, AAAAAA, 7FFFFF, 800000, F0F0F0,
0F0F0F, CCCCCC and 333333. FREQ and PHASE are inactive.
For
TRIAN signal type, the parameter window displays RANGE , LEN and STEP . RANGE
selects between 16, 20 and 24 bit word lengths. LEN determines the number of samples
of the same value should be repeated (1 – 32). STEP sets the digital increment (1 to 16
samples).
LEVELS MODE Screen
Pressing the MODE key accesses the GEN MODE screen, which allows for global setups for
the GEN module.
In this screen, parameters are selected with the
cursor keys and adjusted with the
parameter wheel. After every change, ENTER appears at the F5 key, and must be
pressed to confirm the change. Default settings can be selected with the F1 ( DEF ) key.
Pressing the F6 ( EXIT ) key returns to the GEN screen.
