1. Refer to General Arrangement Drawing provided along with the Free Standing
Workstation Crane for recommended dimensions to position Beam Hanger Kits.
2. Assemble the runway to the header beam using beam hangers as shown in the
figure.
3. Align the runways using standard leveling device. Refer to the section
4. For installation of splicing, end stops, safety cables, refer to General Arrangement
Drawing and Overhead Rail System Product Information manual listed in
“RELATED DOCUMENTS” on page 7.
5. Please ensure that end stops are not assembled before the assembly of runway-
end truck-bridge.

Alignment
Refer to Dwg. MHP1613 on page 10.
1. Place a level on each runway between hangers and level runways.
2. Place a straight piece of material between runways and level runways with each
other. In most applications an empty rail section may be used as a guide. If using
a laser to level the system, use the top outside edge of the rail channel as your
guide.

parallel as described in these instructions

Longitudinal levelling:
Systems with multiple runways and single rail systems shall be level to within 0.25
in. (6 mm) in overall length. The maximum rate of change shall be no more than
0.125 in. (3 mm) on 20 ft (6 m) centers.

Elevation (runway to runway):
Bridge systems shall be level to within 0.25 in. (6 mm) in span of the bridge. The
maximum rate of change shall be no more than 0.125 in. (3 mm) on 20 ft (6 m) rail
centers.

Centering runway to runway:
Shall be within 0.1875 in. (4 mm) in overall length of the system. The maximum rate
of change shall be no more than 0.125 in. (3 mm) on 20 ft (6 m) rail centers.

Bridge and end truck
1. Assemble end trucks with the bridge as shown in the figure. Refer the GA drawing
for the location dimensions.
2. To ensure correct installation of bridge, there should be one person at each end.
3. Raise Bridge to runways and slide wheels on both end trucks simultaneously into
open ends of runway track.
4. After bridge is in place on the runway, it is important that runway end stops be
installed immediately. This will prevent the bridge from accidently rolling off the
open End.
5. Install end stop on one end of bridge, leaving the other end open for hoist,
positioner or handling device trolley installation.
6. Rail systems technical manual forms 16600462 can be referred for different types
of end trucks depending upon the rail combinations and capacity requirements.
