Service Parts and Procedures

SmartSYNC

6.

Use a 1/2-inch wrench and a 5/8-inch wrench to disconnect the gas fitting. The gas fitting is
assembled in the factory using thread locker. Hypertherm recommends that you use some heat
to loosen the gas fitting.

Do not overheat the torch wires.

NOTICE

To prevent damage to the torch, always use 2 wrenches to loosen or tighten the gas fitting.

NOTICE

Do not bend the gas tube. If you bend the gas tube, you will not be able to install the torch body in the
torch handle again because it will not fit correctly.

NOTICE

To prevent damage to the torch wires, do not overheat the torch wires.
