Functional checks for the drain valve and the outlet backflow pre-
venter must be carried out with special testing equipment. For this
purpose, contact an installation company.

Close ball cocks on inlet and outlet sides.

Depressurise system separator:
Unscrew sealing plug.

Remove valve insert according to section 11.3.

• Unscrew cover
• Remove seal
• Pull out backflow preventer and replace
• Reinsert seal and screw on cover
• Screw on sealing plug and handtighten

Reattach valve insert according to section 11.3.

Check function: see section 11.5.

Step Action
1 Close ball valve on outlet side.
2 Check pressure on outlet pressure gauge during zero flow:
In case of the outlet pressure slowly rising, either the valve seat or the
valve disc within the pressure regulator may be contaminated or
defective.
Check valve insert and strainer in pressure regulator.
3 Slowly open outlet ball valve.
Step Action
1 Lower inlet pressure: if drain valve opens (i.e. water drips out) the
drain valve functions properly.
