8.4 Dismounting / Installing the side cover

Proceed as follows to dismount the side cover:

1. Loosen the two twist locks by 90° counterclockwise.

2. Tip the cover ≈ 15° to the top away from the housing.

3. Remove the green/yellow potential equalization line on the

cover.

4. Pull the cover to the top out of the lower fixation.

The dismounting of the side cover is complete.

Proceed as follows to install the side cover:

5. Insert the side cover in the lower fixation first.

6. Connect the green/yellow potential equalization line to the

cover.

7. Press the cover at the top against the housing and close the

two twist locks 90° clockwise.

The installation of the side cover is complete.

8.5 Changing the test fluid

Fixed change intervals of the test liquid are difficult to define due

to different parameters such as sampling interval, type and surface

of the test items, etc. Define the change interval individually for

each application.

The following characteristics of the test liquid change with increas-

ing use. Check the test liquid cyclically for:

– Appearance.

Greases, oils, preservatives, water have the effect of clouding
the test liquid or giving it a yellow tint.

– The achievable negative control value.

With increasing use, the achievable negative control values will
not be achieved. For details, see

8.5.1 Draining the test liquid / Emptying the extraction unit

Draining the test liquid is necessary for changing the test liquid or

before transporting or storing the extraction unit.

Empty the extraction unit or allow the test liquid to drain as de-

scribed below:
