Sonicaid FM800 Encore Series Instructions for Use

Contractions (using IUP transducer)

Use only IUP transducer types supplied with the FM800E, or
listed in the FM800E Accessories & Consumables brochure.

Always check transducers and their packaging before use
to ensure that there is no damage and that sterility has not
been compromised.

Follow the manufacturers’ instructions for correct use,
taking particular care to ensure that the catheter is not
introduced extraovularly.

1 Connect the IUP connecting lead to the pink socket on FM800E.

2 Check IUP units of measurement (mmHg or kPa). Change, if required.

3 Insert the catheter as described in the instructions.

4 Zero the transducer as described in the instructions supplied with it.

Zero FM800E by pressing the pink Toco Zero control on the front

panel.

Or > IUP, then > ZERO.

5 To confirm placement and function of the transducer, ask the patient to cough. A spike

should be observed in the contractions measurement.
