Controls and on/off indicator

Printer on/off switch and indicator.

Shows amber light when printer is switched on.

Printer fast forward.

EasiNotes annotation. See Section

Audio volume up.

Audio volume down.

Audio channel select. See Sections 6.2 and 7.3.

Toco zero (Pink button).

Power on/off switch and indicator.

Shows green light when FM800E is switched on.

Power on/off symbol.

Note

: To isolate the FM800E from the mains or line supply, disconnect

the power cable from the mains inlet at the rear of the unit

Switching on

Before switching the unit on, check that no damage has been
sustained - e.g. due to toppling, strained cables or water
ingress. If there is any damage to the unit or accessories,
disconnect the unit immediately from the mains supply, label
it clearly as damaged and refer for servicing.

To switch on, press the Power on/off switch.

If FM800E beeps rapidly and continuously, it has failed its power-up self-test routine.
