On this interface, you can query specific descriptions of the parameters in the
Create Volume
dialog box.

The name must be unique.

The name can contain letters
of the DBC case, numbers of
the DBC case, underscores,
and hyphens, and must start
with a letter or a number.

The name contains 1 to 32
characters.
Volume name.
You are recommended to name a
volume after the characteristics
of the volume. For example, you
can name a volume that stores
student information
studentVOL001
.

Capacity
l
The capacity of a newly-
created volume can only be an
integer no more than the free
capacity of the disk group that
the volume belongs to and no
more than 256 TB.

The name contains 1 to 9
characters.
Unit: GB or MB
Volume capacity.
NOTE
When the check box on the left of
Max Size
is selected, the volume
capacity equals to the capacity of the
disk group.

Disk Group
None
The disk group in which a volume
is to be created.
To create a new disk group, click
Create Disk Group
.
If the disk group in which a
volume is to be created is already
selected under the
Disk Group
node, you cannot select or create
a disk group in the
Create
Volume
dialog box.
Free Capacity
Unit: GB
The capacity of the disk group in
which a volume is to be created.
Name
None
Name of a disk in the disk group
in which a volume is to be
created.
