4.2.2 Dynamic IP Connection
Before you start, obtain a dynamic IP address from your ISP. With the dynamic IP address, you
can connect a speed dome to the Internet through a modem or a router.
Connecting a speed dome Through a Router
Step 1
Connect the speed dome to the router.
Step 2
In the speed dome, set the LAN IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
Step 3
In the router, set the PPPoE user name and password.
Step 4
Set port mapping, such as 80, 8000, 8200, and 554 ports. Seek help from the router manufacturer
for port mapping.

Step 5
Obtain a domain name from a domain name provider.
Step 6
Set DDNS parameters on the setting page of the router.
Step 7
Visit the speed dome with the obtained domain name.

Connecting a Speed Dome Through a Modem
Speed dome supports PPPoE auto dial-up. A speed dome automatically obtains a public IP
address by ADSL dial-up after connecting to a modem.

Perform the following steps to connect a speed dome through a modem:
Step 1
Access the speed dome over a LAN via web browser. Open a web browser, and go to
192.168.0.120 (the default device IP), and then input the username (admin by default), and the
password (HuaWei123 by default).
Step 2
Set the PPPoE user name and password. Go to Configuration > Advanced Configuration >
Network > PPPoE and input the user name and password, and confirm the password.
