9 Replacing components

9.3.7 Adjusting sensor S3
Sensor S3 is only present in certain versions.
After replacing the sensor as described in paragraph 9.3.2 “Replacing the sensor unit” , calibrate it
as follows:
1. make sure the signal provided by the sensor corresponds to the one described in paragraph
7.8.1 “Description of the inductive sensors” ;
2. if not, rotate the sensor slowly until you find the position that gives the output described in
paragraph
7.8.1 “Description of the inductive sensors” ;
3. tighten the screw that fastens the sensor completely.
9.3.8 Adjusting sensor S4
Sensor S4 is only present in HSK versions.
See paragraph 9.3.4 “Adjusting sensors S1 and S4 for HSK versions” .
9.3.9 Adjusting sensor S5
Sensor S5 is only present in certain versions.
After replacing the sensor and checking the ejection position as described in paragraph 9.3.2
“Replacing the sensor unit” , adjust the sensor as follows:
1. remove any tool holders from the spindle;
2. bring the piston back to the limit switch (collet closed);
3. turn the eccentric pre-inserted nut 3 until the sensor comes as close as possible to the
electrospindle nose;
4. verify that in this condition the output of S5 is "ON" ;
5. feed the tool-holder expulsion air inlet (piston forward) by means of a one-way pressure
regulator, set initially at 0 bar (0 PSI);
6. turn the shaft manually and increase the supply pressure in steps of 0.1 bar (1.5 PSI), until the
shaft is braked by contact with the piston;
7. move the sensor gradually in the direction opposite the nose, until you reach the position
where the S5 output becomes
“OFF” ;

OFF adjustment must only be carried out with movements that take the
sensor away from the electrospindle nose; otherwise, you must reposition the sensor at the
point nearest the nose permitted by the movement, then make gradual movements towards
the cylinder;
8. tighten the screw that fastens the sensor completely;
9. perform 10 "tool-holder ejection (piston forward)" - "piston return (piston backward)” cycles;
