Configuring VLAN mapping
Overview
VLAN mapping re-marks VLAN tagged traffic with new VLAN IDs. Hewlett Packard Enterprise
provides the following types of VLAN mapping:

One-to-one
VLAN
mapping
—Replaces one VLAN tag with another.
•
Many-to-one VLAN mapping
—Replaces multiple VLAN tags with the same VLAN tag.
•
One-to-two
VLAN
mapping
—Tags single-tagged packets with an outer VLAN tag.
•
Two-to-two
VLAN
mapping
—Replaces the SVLAN ID, CVLAN ID, or both IDs for an incoming
double-tagged frame.

shows a typical application scenario of one-to-one and many-to-one VLAN mapping. The
scenario implements broadband Internet access for a community.
