Table 13 Source Appliances parameters
This is the serial number for the required service set. This information can be found
on the top-level
HP StoreOnce
page.
Serial Number
This is the name of the appliance for which you have specified the serial number and
cannot be altered.
Appliance Name
This is the status of the appliance for which you have specified the serial number and
cannot be altered.
Appliance Status
This is the address of the appliance for which you have specified the serial number
and cannot be altered.
Appliance Address
This checkbox indicates whether any mappings have been configured on the source
appliance. This is important to know, because any mappings that already exist will

be retained regardless of any access permissions you subsequently set up for libraries
and shares on that appliance.

Click
Add
. A wizard guides you through the necessary steps to add a new source appliance
to the list. You will need to provide the serial number of the appliance and can also specify
initial access permissions for all libraries and all shares on that appliance.

Once the appliance has been added to the list of Source Appliances, permissions can be
configured for it.
To configure permissions (administrators only)
1.
Select the source appliance in the list. There are two tabs; one for
Libraries
and one for
Shares
.

Click
Edit
. You can now check the Access box for those shares and libraries to which access
should be granted. These are the shares and libraries that will be displayed when the mapping
configuration step is run in the Replication wizard. It will not be possible to create a new share
or library from the wizard.
3.
Click
Update
to apply the permissions.
