1.
Turn off the tablet and keyboard base. If you are unsure whether the tablet and keyboard base are off
or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet and keyboard base by unplugging the power cord from the tablet
and keyboard base.
3.
Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard base.
4.
Remove the bottom cover (see
Bottom cover on page 65
), and then remove the following components:
a.
I/O board (see
I/O board on page 66
)
b.
TouchPad (see
TouchPad on page 68
)
c.
Keyboard base battery (see
Keyboard base battery on page 69
)
5.
Detach the hinge assembly cables from the keyboard shield (see
Hinge assembly on page 74
). (The
hinge assembly cables are attached to the keyboard shield with double-sided adhesive.)
Remove the keyboard:
1.
Release the ZIF connector
(1)
to which the keyboard cable is attached, and then disconnect the
keyboard cable from the HDMI/USB board.
2.
Detach the keyboard cable
(2)
from the keyboard shield. (The keyboard cable is attached to the
keyboard shield with double-sided adhesive.)
