Emergency
Off
Unit
and

er
Distribution

If
y
our
system
is
not
furnished
with
an
emergency
o
unit,
skip
this
test.
This
test

the

Use
the
following
pro cedure
to
c
hec
k
the
test
items
ab o
v
e:
1.
Conrm
the
main
circuit
break
er
or
GFCI
in
the
system
cabinet
and
the
line
switches
of
all
the
system
instrumen
ts
are
set
to
OFF.
The
main
circuit
break
er
or
GFCI
is
lo
cated
at
the
b ottom
of
the
rear
panel.
See
the
Op
er
ation
Manual
of
eac
h
instrumen
t
for
the
lo
cation
of
eac
h
line
switch.
2.
Connect
the
main
p o
w
er
cable
to
the
p o
w
er
source
at
y
our
site.
3.
T
urn
on
the
main
circuit
break
er
or
GFCI
in
the
system
cabinet.
4.
If
y
our
PDU
is
furnished
with
a
GFCI,
press
the
red
push
switch
lab
eled
\Breaker
T
est
Switch"
to
force
earth
leak
age
curren
t.
The
GFCI
indicator
should
extend
out
to
sho
w
the
earth
leak
age
condition.
T
o
reset
the
GFCI
indicator,
use
the
follo
wing
pro cedure:
a.
Mov
e
the
switch
lev
er
to
OFF.
The
GFCI
indicator
should
retract.
b.
Mov
e
the
switch
lev
er
to
ON.
5.
T
urn
on
the
circuit
break
er
for
the
emergency
o
unit.
The
\BREAKER
ON"
indicator
(white)
should
turn
on.
6.
T
urn
on
and
o
one
of
the
system
instrumen
ts.
Note
that
the
selected
instrumen
t
m
ust
originally
function
prop erly
.
The
instrumen
t
should
not
turn
on.
7.
Press
the
LINE
4
1
5
switch.
The
LINE
\1"
indicator
(green)
should
turn
on.
8.
T
urn
on
one
of
the
system
instrumen
ts.

that

selected
instrumen
