HP-IB Interface Cards
This section explains ho w to install HP-IB in terface cards. Y ou need to install HP-IB in terface
cards in the following cases:
When y ou use Series 700 Mo del 725 computer.
When y ou use Series 700 Mo del 745i or 747i computer with a prob er, a prin ter, or a plotter,
whic h are con trolled via HP-IB from HP 4062UX/F.
Eac h HP-IB in terface is reserv ed for a sp ecic system function, as listed in T able 2-3.

HP E2071B (for mo del 725)
F or con trolling the system instrumen ts: HP 4084B, HP
4142B, HP 4280A, HP 4284A, and HP 8110As
HP E2071B F or con trolling w afer prob ers via HP-IB from the HP
4062UX/F system or con trolling other instrumen ts
The conguration switches on the in terface card set the HP-IB in terface's I/O base address. If
y ou use t w o or more external in terface cards in y our computer, y ou m ust set the conguration
switches of the cards not to conict other in terface cards' switch settings, including other
man ufacturer's cards.

After setting the switches, install the cards in to the slots of y our computer.
