Configuring the IIS or ICsp Media Server
These procedures create the user HPE ICsp, which is used to connect to the media server (set up later in
the document) as well as configure the IIS server to allow .vib files.
Create the ICsp User
Procedure
1 Open Server Manager and select Tools > Computer Management.
2 In the Computer Management window, select Local Users and Groups > Users.
3 Select More Actions > New User, and enter the following information:
•
User name: icspUser.
•
Description: Insight Control server provisioning user.
•
Password: <<mgmt_vm_media_user_password>>.
•
Confirm Password: <<mgmt_vm_media_user_password>>.
4 Deselect the User must change password at next logon checkbox.
5 Select the User cannot change password checkbox.
6 Select the Password never expires checkbox.
7 Click Create.
8 Click Close.
Add IIS Role and .NET Framework 3.5 Features
Procedure
1 In Server Manager, click Add roles and features.
2 Click Next.
3 Verify that Role-based or feature-based installation is selected, and click Next.
4 Verify that the local server is selected, and click Next.
5 Select Web Server (IIS).
6 Click Add Features to add required features for Web Server (IIS).
7 Click Next.
8 Select .NET Framework 3.5 Features, and click Next in the Select Features window.
9 Click Next in the Web Server Role (IIS) window.
10 Click Next to accept the default Web Server (IIS) role services.
11 Click Install.
12 Wait for the installation to complete, and click Close.
Add .vib to the IIS MIME Types List
Procedure
1 In Server Manager, select Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
2 Select the server name on the left side.
3 Click No to close the dialog box that appears.
4 Double-click the MIME Types icon to open the feature.
5 Click the Add link on the far right under Actions.
6 Enter the file name extension .vib.
7 Enter the MIME type application/octet-stream.
8 Click OK.
9 Close the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager window.
