The reference syn thesizer w en t out of lo c k. The out of lo c k condition may ha v e b een
due to an external time base b eing connected or disconnected. En ter a dieren t RF
frequency and then set the frequency bac k to the desired v alue to re-lo c k. This is a
\p ermanen t" error.

If y ou are using the direct hardw are con trol service feature, y ou ha v e en tered an out
of range v alue. If this error o ccurs while not using the direct hardw are con trol service
feature, low lev el hardw are driv ers could not set the requested signal generator setting.
T ry setting the signal generator again. If this error message p ersists, run the instrumen t
self-test.
