1.1 Safety Instructions
Please read the following operating instructions carefully. Store these instructions so they can be consulted at later time. Hoxter fireplace
inserts and water heating fireplace inserts are certified according to European standard EN 13229 and are marked with a CE marking.
When the appliance is being installed it‘s important to follow all applicable local standards and also all national and European standards.
To guarantee the correct functioning and safety of the fireplace, a Hoxter appliance has to be installed by a specialized company.
1.2 Burn Hazard
Hoxter appliances operate at high temperatures and their surface may get very hot. It‘s important to follow these rules:
· Keep the door always closed even when there are no active flames. The door may be opened only when starting the fire,
reloading wood or cleaning.
· Door, door hande and the glass get very hot during operation – there is a burn hazard!
· When you open the door or operate the air control lever and there is an active fire in the appliance always
use the supplied glove.
1.3 Safe Distance
There has to be a safety distance of 80 cm between the visible flame area (fireplace door) and flammable materials (flammable building
materials, wood, furniture, decorative fabrics, carpets, curtains, etc.). There has to be a safety distance of 20 cm between the other
surfaces of the fireplace (other than the door) and flammable materials (flammable building materials, wood, furniture, decorative fabrics,
carpets, curtains, etc.). The distance in the visible area of flame is measure starting from the glass (

There must to be a non-flammable surface used as a protection against the hot particles which may fall out from the burning chamber if
the surface in front of the fireplace is a flammable surface (carpet, wooden floor etc.). Non-flammable surface protection (ceramic, stone,
glass or metal) must have dimensions (
