The calibration sequence and the input on
the terminal is identical with the calibration
for seed / fertiliser.
For calibration remove the rear hose and attach
the calibration bag.
Seed calibration

Adjust the cell rotor to match working width
and metering quantity.

Calibration and input of weight - see DrillMa-
nager instructions.
¾
If the matching speed range is displayed after
entering the weight, you may start drilling.
¾
If the indicated range is not suitable for drilling,
adjust the metering quantity and repeat the
calibration process.
Maize distributor
The Pronto AS can be used for drilling maize.
For this purpose maize distributors with diff erent
row spacings can be mounted on the distributor
tower.
Converting to maize drilling

Remove the distributor cover.
¾
Mount the maize distributor, e.g. for 60 cm
row spacing with double rows.
¾
Remove the seed hoses from the coulters
for maize drilling from the seed box and plug
these onto the maize tower.
If necessary, you may also install the FGS-
valves or the seed fl ow sensors. Then the
corresponding settings must be made in the
terminal - see DrillManager instructions.

The metering unit must be converted for
coarse seeds - see metering unit.
¾
The fan speed must be set to
approx. 3500 rpm.
If seed treated with Mesurol dressing
is used, the waste air must not be blown
out into the environment.
¾
The open outlets on the seed distributor must
be closed with blind plugs. The blind plugs are
delivered together with the maize distributor.
