Parking the machine
The drill should be parked in a shed or under a
roof so that no moisture can accumulate in the
hopper, metering unit and seed tubes.
It can thus be parked in unfolded or folded
condition.
After folding place a suitable support under the
drill and lower the drill on this support. Otherwise
the machine could tip over to the rear.
When manoeuvring the machine, pay
attention to the surroundings. No per-
sons (children) are to remain in the
manoeuvring area of the machine.
¾
Park the machine on level and solid ground.
¾
Support the drill and lower or unfold it.
¾
Secure the machine against rolling away.
¾
Disconnect hydraulic and electrical connec-
tions and hook into bracket devices.
¾
Disconnect brake lines (optional).
¾
Place the parking support under the machine.
¾
Unhitch the machine.
¾
After unfolding turn the coulter pressure con-
trol back in order to relieve the rubbers so
that they will not lose their tensioning force.
¾
Empty the seed hopper.
¾
Clean the metering unit.
¾
Close the hopper cover.
¾
Keep electrical and electronic components for
the drill controls in dry rooms.
¾
Equipment with pneumatic brake; drain air
reservoir and seal hose couplings during
longer downtime periods.
Thoroughly clean the machine and hopper if
solid fertiliser was used. Fertiliser is aggressive
and speeds up the corrosion process. It espe-
cially attacks galvanised components like bolts.
Adjusting the wing stop on the seed wagon
When unfolding, both wing frames are limited by
the piston rod stops on the wing cylinders and
the adjustable stops on the frame.
At fully unfolded position both folding frames
must be parallel to the centre section.
Check the frame and adjust the stops as required.
¾
Unfold and park the machine on level ground.
¾
Loosen the counter nut on the bolt eye and
turn the piston rod, until the piston abuts in
the cylinder.
¾
Retighten the counter nut.
¾
Back out the stops on both sides at the bot
-
tom of the frame, until they touch the frame.
Fold and unfold the machine once again and
check the adjustment.
