Reminder every 20 hours
In order to avoid malfunctions caused by soiled
sensors in the downpipes and an impairment of
the seed placement, the note "Clean downpipes
every day and check function of trap rollers"
will be displayed after 20 operating hours when
switching on the next time.
Parking the machine
Indoors the machine can be folded and parked.
Outdoors water could run into the downpipes
when parked in folded condition. Deposits could
also build up in rims and crevices around the
grain sensor. This would impair the function
when in use.
Maintenance
¾
Clean the downpipes every day with the
delivered brush. On this occasion check for
installation position and tight fit.
In case of excessive dirt clean several times
per day.
¾
Check the pipe outlet every day. The outlet must
not be damaged or stuck up. The grains could
otherwise be dislocated in the placement.
Check the tendency for sticking several times
per day.
¾
Check the seat at the top of the seal on the
pipe inlet. The connection must be leak tight
so that no foreign particles can fall in causing
incorrect grain signals.
Note
Faults and double-seeds are not evaluated for
all fruit types.
With its shape, the downpipe is ex-
tremely important for a uniform place-
ment of grains.
The downpipe must not be damaged or dirty.
Dust deposits in the sensor window can ad-
versely affect the signals on the sensor. This
can be the reason for incorrect data (faults) in
the computer.
Damage at the pipe outlet of deposits / block-
ages caused by damp or sticky soils at the outlet
are reaons for irregular seed placement.
The downpipe thereby blocks up slowly. It starts
with a deposit behind the peak, until it is com-
pletely blocked.
Downpipe with starting blockage.
The sensor is unable to detect faults in the
bottom range of the downpipe!
The sensor can only trigger an alarm only when
the pipe is blocked and filled up to the height of
the sensor.
Under poor application conditions the
downpipe must be checked and cleaned
several times per day.
Even under "normal" work conditions
and for large areas several inspections
per day are recommended.
