Cleaning
Always wear the required protective equipment
when cleaning. Harmful dusts may have deposit-
ed in the area of pneumatics and metering units.
¾
Empty the seed hopper.
¾
Clean metering unit, distributor and hoses of
the
fertilizer
system. Leave the Venturi area
open for drying.
¾
Close the seed hopper cover.
¾
The terminal for drill controls and single grain
metering equipment must be stored in dry
rooms.
¾
Open the cover on the drill frame and clean
out thoroughly with compressed air. The
frame serves the purpose of a vacuum dis-
tributor, seed and dressing residues may
therefore be present.
¾
With pneumatic brake Drain water from the
air reservoir and close the hose couplings, if
the machine is not used for a longer period
of time.
Storage (end of season)
¾
Park the machine
inside a hall
if it is to be put
in storage after the end of the season.
Single grain metering units are precision
components. Outdoors they may get
damaged by weather influences, etc.
Before the start of the season
¾
Close the cover on the Venturi area.
¾
Reassemble the cleaning cover on the frame
leak tight and firmly. Air losses in the vacuum
system cause metering faults and poor grain
distribution.
