Venturi area
In the Venturi area the metering unit injects the
fertilizer
into the air flow.
The Venturi area is fitted with a flexible cover
at the bottom. For the purpose of calibrating the
Venturi area is opened and the calibration bag
is hooked on to the hooks on the housing.
In order to avoid malfunctions in the
fertilizer
transport or its distribution, all
connections and the cover must be tightly
closed.

Each time a lid had been opened you
should check the leak tightness with the
fan running by simply listening and feel-
ing with your hand around the lid.
The cover for removing residues, the air connec-
tion for pressure hopper and metering unit are
located on the underside of the hopper.
In order to avoid metering faults, these seals
must also be leak tight during operation.
Note
During transportation over long distances or on
very bumpy roads, the
fertilizer
inside hopper
may solidify. Before starting work, the
fertilizer
must be free flowing.

machine is in the field, or it may have to be
loosened again, e.g. by banging against the
hopper wall.
