Emptying residues / cleaning
Clean the Seed on Demand distributor once
every week during use.
Thereby watch out for grains and foreign objects
under the grille. These can disturb the system.
They must therefore be removed.
When the hopper is full a gate valve can be
pushed into the outlet funnel. Then the distribu-

Checks and maintenance
¾
Check all hoses and connections every day
for leak tightness and tight fit.
¾
Check the screen for cleanliness, clean if
necessary!
¾
Clean the distributor every week and remove
foreign objects from under the grille.

Blockage in the upper section of the Seed on
Demand elbows can be the cause for high fan
speeds.
¾
Reducing the fan speed.

(c) Seed on Demand - elbow
If the Seed on Demand elbows are empty earlier,
the system is operated with a too low air quantity.
¾
Increase the fan speed.
A speed of approx. 3600 rpm is required
for maize. For lighter seeds, like sunflower,
3000 rpm is quite sufficient.
The Seed on Demand system works
best with the slowest possible air flow
velocity (fan speed) for the seed
transport.
In case of seed with sticky dressing the
seed may be mixed with a mixture of 80 %
talcum powder and 20 % graphite.
