Fuel

Evaporative Emission Canister
(EVAP Canister)
Removal/Installation
(California Type Only)

Disconnect the No. 4 tube.
Disconnect the No. 1 tube.
Remove the bolts and EVAP canister.

Instal lation is in the reverse order of remova l.

Pulse Secondary Air Injection

Control Valve (PAIR Control Valve)
Removal/Installation

(California Type Only)

CAUTION

•

To prevent damage to the PAIR control valve, do
not use high air pressure sources. Use a hand oper

ated air pump only.

Front cylinder

Remove the radiator ( page 6-5).

Disconnect and remove ttie followi ng:

- No. 1 0 vacuum tube
- air i njection hose
- PAI R control valve mounting bolt
- air i ntake hose

PAI R control valve

Installation is i n the reverse order of removal .

After insta l l ing, check the tubes for loose con nections and

kinks.

I nsta l l the radiator (page 6-5).

Rear cylinder

Remove the seat (page 2-2).

Disconnect and remove the fol lowi ng:

- air i ntake hose
- air i njection hose
- PAI R  control valve  mounting bolt
- No.  10 vacuum tube
- PAI R  control valve

Installation is in the reverse order of removal .

After i nsta l l i ng, check t h e tubes for loose connections a n d

kinks.

Insta l l the seat (page 2-2).
