3.4.2.2
Motor Pressures on ATEC Sapphire Consoles
There are two motor pressures on an ATEC Sapphire consoles. The
pressure for an MRI handpiece should be checked first. Using the
MRI Gauge Connector Assembly, connect a calibrated pressure
gauge into the metal connection port with a red MRI label. Turn the
console on and depress the console footswitch. The peak air
pressure should be between 44 and 49 PSI. If it is out of this range,
adjust the regulator on the far left of the console until the gauge reads
46 PSI. To adjust, the cap below the shelf will need to be pulled down
and then it can be rotated. Always set a pressure by increasing
pressure up to the correct value as opposed to decreasing
pressure down to a value.
Once the MRI pressure is set, use the US/STX and Cylinder Gauge
Connector Assembly to check the US/STX pressure. This pressure
should be between 34 and 39 PSI. If it is outside of this range, adjust
the regulator on the far right of the console until the gauge reads 36
PSI. Be sure to lock the regulator when finished.
3.4.2.3
Motor Pressure on ATEC Emerald Consoles
ATEC Emerald consoles only have one pressure to be adjusted.
Using the MRI Gauge Connector Assembly, connect a calibrated
pressure gauge into the metal connection port with a red MRI label.
Turn the console on and depress the console footswitch. The peak air
pressure should be between 44 and 49 PSI. If it is out of this range,
adjust the regulator on the far left of the console until the gauge reads
46 PSI. Always set a pressure by increasing pressure up to the correct
value as opposed to decreasing pressure down to a value. Note:
The pressure regulator for US/STX motor pressure is in a
different location in an ATEC Pearl console than an ATEC
Sapphire console. Be sure to lock the regulator when finished.
3.4.3 Cylinder Pressure
Using the US/STX and Cylinder Gauge Connector Assembly, check the
pressure in the cylinder port. This is the connection port with a black circle.
With the console on and the footswitch depressed, check for the peak pressure
during cycling. This pressure should be between 29 and 35 PSI. If it is not,
adjust the middle regulator (the right regulator in an ATEC Pearl console) until
the pressure is 32 PSI. Always set a pressure by increasing pressure up to the
correct value as opposed to decreasing pressure down to a value. Be sure to
lock the regulator when finished.
