Vehicle Care

Warning (Continued)

was new, it can lose air over time.
Check the inflation pressure
regularly.

After installing the spare tyre on
the vehicle, stop as soon as
possible to check the inflation
pressure is correct. Have the flat
tyre repaired or replaced and
installed back on the vehicle as
soon as possible.

1. Park on a hard, level surface,

in a safe location.

2. Apply the park brake firmly.

3. Place the shift lever in

position

P

.

4. Switch the hazard warning

flashers on.

5. Turn off the engine and remove

the key.

6. Chock the wheel diagonally

opposite the flat tyre with a
suitable solid object.

Note

Do not change more than one wheel
at one time.

7. Remove the tools. See

8. Rotate the spare wheel winch

access cap anticlockwise to
remove. Lift the carpet flap to
access the winch slot.

9. Assemble the wheel wrench,

jack handle extensions and the
jack handle using a
screwdriver.

10. Insert the chiselled end of the

jack handle through the hole
and into the slot.

11. Rotate the wheel wrench

anticlockwise to lower the
spare tyre to the ground.

12. Continue to rotate the wheel

wrench until the spare tyre can
be pulled out from under the
vehicle.
