5.8 AUTOMATIC Mode “BALANCE
WITH RUN OUT”
The following instructions describe the specific
functions of the balancer in the “BALANCE WITH RUN
OUT” mode.
Icon shown in (
Fig. 5-15 ) identifies active “BALANCE
WITH RUN OUT” mode. The unit runs in automatic
mode.
This mode allows operator to measure wheel and rim
run-out by means of laser scanners ( Fig. 5-16 ).
Two different measuring options can be set through
the setting panel ( Fig. 5-17 ).
If user sets “Rim run-out measurement” to “Limit
exceeded” ( Fig 5-17 ), the machine will only run
wheel measurement - and rim will be measured, too,
only if the value set for “Wheel radial run-out limit (1
st
Harmonic)” is exceeded.
If user sets “Rim run-out measurement” to “ALWAYS”
( Fig 5-18 ), the machine will measure both wheel and
rim.
