Device description
Automatic movement of heating bath
The heating bath is automatically moved up or down when one of the following device
functions is performed:
•
Warm Up
: when the heating process is started, the heating bath is automatically
moved to the LOWER end position - the flask is lifted out of the heating bath.
•
Start All
: when starting all processes in automatic mode, the heating bath
is automatically moved to the UPPER end position - the flask is immersed in the
heating bath fluid.
•
Stop All
: when stopping all processes, the heating bath is automatically moved
to the LOWER end position - the flask is lifted out of the heating bath.
•
Emergency Stop
: when the emergency stop button is pressed, the heating bath
is automatically moved to the LOWER end position - the flask is lifted out of the
heating bath.
•
Timer:Lift
: after a set time period in timer mode, the heating bath is
automatically moved to the LOWER end position - the flask is lifted out of the
heating bath.
Heating bath fluids
The heating bath can be filled with different bath fluids:
• Tap water; temperature range 20 °C – 90 °C
• Polyethylene glycol; temperature range 20 °C – 170 °C
•
Silicone oil, low viscosity (max. 40 cP), flash point > 285 °C; temperature range
20 °C – 170 °C
DANGER: Risk of explosion
When using oils with a flash point < 285 °C as a bath fluid,
uncontrolled thermal reactions can occur at high heating bath
temperatures and an explosive atmosphere can form!
➜ Only use oils with a flash point > 285 °C as bath fluid.
From a heating bath temperature of approx. 75 °C – 80 °C, the use
of polyethylene glycol or oil is recommended.
When using polyethylene glycol, the bath fluid selector on the
device must be set to the "oil” position.
