Device description
Automatic water bath refill
This function is activated automatically when the bath fluid selector is set to WATER .
Operating principle automatic water bath refill
Due to the heat development in the heating bath, the fluid level gradually decreases
due to evaporation.
In order to ensure a constant immersion depth of the flask and thus a continuous
evaporation process, the heating bath is automatically lifted up step by step toward the
upper end position. This lifting movement is controlled by the level sensor.
As soon as the heating bath reaches the upper end position (minimum level), water is
automatically refilled until the maximum level in the heating bath is reached again. At
the same time, the heating bath moves back to the lower end position.
Level sensor
The level sensor is located in the heating bath. The level sensor stops the heating bath
lift when the following limits are reached:
– minimum liquid level in the heating bath: 50 mm
– maximum liquid level in the heating bath: 145 mm
Check the level sensor regularly for proper operation, contamina-
tion, and limescale build-up to prevent malfunctions.
