Device description
Flask support
The flask support facilitates the insertion of the evaporation flask and prevents the flask
from falling into the heating bath during removal.
Construction of the flask support
The flask support consists of the following mechanical components (see also the
following figure):
• Two guide bars, fixed to the chassis
• Two support bars with support element, movable on the two guide bars
•
Supported locking lever with handle and defined locking positions
Handling the flask support
The two support bars of the flask support are connected with the locking lever so that
both can be moved parallel along the guide bars to and from the EASY LOCK.
The distance between the support bars is defined by the locking positions for three
flask sizes.
To set the appropriate distance, do the following:
➜ Uncouple the support bars by pulling up on the locking lever on the handle.
➜ Specify the appropriate locking position (refer to the volume mark on the evapo-
ration flask!).
➜ Move the two support bars so that the locking lever engages in the appropriate
locking position when moving it down.
➜ Using the locking lever, re-couple the support bars.
