Device description
Adjust contact pressure – EASY LOCK
Due to industrial manufacturing tolerances, the contact pressure of the EASY LOCK
must be adjusted individually for each evaporation flask.
To do this, proceed as follows:
➜ Lock the rotational axis.
➜ Unlock and open the EASY LOCK clamping lever to the stop position (see “Handling
– EASY LOCK” on page 99).
➜ Insert the set screw completely, turning clockwise (marked in the following figures):
In this position, minimum contact pressure is applied to the flask.
➜ Insert the flask and lock the EASY LOCK (see “Handling the flask support” on page
102).
➜ Check if the clamped flask can be moved in the locked EASY LOCK.
If the flask still rotates:
➜ Unlock and open the EASY LOCK clamping lever to the stop position.
➜ Pull back the inserted flask.
➜ Turn the set screw one to two turns counter-clockwise to increase the contact
pressure step by step.
CAUTION: Damage to the flask clamping system, broken
glass
Excessive pressing/closing pressure can damage the EASY LOCK
and/or the flask inserted !
➜ Always follow the instructions for the correct adjustment of the
contact pressure in this section!
➜ Insert the evaporation flask and lock the EASY LOCK.
➜ Check if the clamped flask can be moved in the locked EASY LOCK.
➜ Repeat the procedure until the clamping lever closes and locks against moderate
resistance and the flask can no longer be moved by hand in the closed EASY LOCK
