4.2 Rules for maintenance and repair
1. Explosive gas will be generated in the lithium
battery, so no flames should be close to the
battery. Do not touch the positive and negative
terminals of the battery with your hands at the
same time to prevent an electric shock or short
circuit.

The controller is equipped with an
accumulator. Do not touch the position between
B+ and B- to prevent an electric shock. In order to
check or clean the controller, please power off
first, and then a load device (such as bulb,
resistance or horn) should be installed between
B+ and B- to discharge the capacitor inside the
controller.
3. Improper maintenance can cause serious
accidents and shorten the service life of forklift
trucks. For safe operation, please contact Hangcha
dealers or agents for maintenance matters.
4. Except for maintenance personnel, do not
start the forklift truck or touch the control lever,
otherwise it will cause serious injury.
5. In order to ensure the safety and service life of
the forklift truck, it must be regularly lubricated
and maintained. In particular, safety critical parts
must be replaced regularly.
6. Wear insulating gloves when operating and
maintaining the battery system, and accessories
that may cause short circuit or electric shock are
strictly prohibited.
7. The power switch can be started only after
checking the circuit before working every day.
After the work, the power switch should be
turned off.

Oil/water leakage, deformation and looseness
should be regularly checked; otherwise, the
service life of forklift truck will be shortened; in
severe cases, it may cause an accident.

Ensure that “safety critical parts” are
replaced in regular checks.
– Wipe off oil, grease and water on the
baseplate, pedal and control lever.
– No smoking, sparks or flames near to
the lithium-ion battery during inspection.
