Concrete Type:
This sets the dielectric constant and gives you a more
accurate depth calculation. You can adjust the Dielectric by setting a
Concrete Type based on the conditions of the concrete you are scanning.
•
Very Dry: 4.6 Dielectric
•
Mod.(erately) Dry: 6.3 Dielectric
•
Moist: 9 Dielectric
•
Wet: 14 Dielectric
4
Depth Range:
Select the Depth Range that is slightly greater than the thickness of concrete you are
attempting to scan. For example, if you’re scanning a 10” slab, select the 12” Depth Range. Depths
range from 4-24” in 4” differences (10-60 cm in 10 cm increments).
System Menu
1
Brightness:
This controls screen brightness. The scale runs from
0-100% with 100% being the brightest. The screen will be black when set
at zero (0). The screen consumes more power with increased brightness;
the darker the screen is, the longer the battery will last.
2
Volume:
This controls the volume of the control unit. The system makes
noise at certain points during setup, data collection, and playback. The
scale runs from 0-100% with 100% being the loudest. The sound is
entirely turned off when set at zero (0).
3
AutoSave:
Allows you to save all of the files you collect or to be
selective. With AutoSave turned on you’ll automatically save every
profile.
•
If performing real-time locating turning this to On may be beneficial
as it will decrease the number of selections you have to make to clear
your screen.
•
It is recommended to turn AutoSave Off if collecting individual
profiles to build into a 3D grid using software. As you finish
collecting one line this pausing data collection while you get in
position to start the next line.
4
Save Setup:
You can save all of the settings from the Radar menu to be recalled at a later date.
When Save Setup is pressed using either the Control Knob or the Enter key a menu opens with
sixteen (16) available setups, Setup01 – Setup16. You can select any of these numbered setups to
save your current settings.
You can also create a New Setup from the control button at the bottom of the screen. Pressing this
button opens the Edit Setup Menu where you can customize the name.
5
Recall Setup:
You can also recall a setup that you previously saved. When Recall Setup is selected
by either pressing the Control Knob or the Enter key, a list of available setups will appear.
6
Cart:
Select which cart you are using with your antenna. This will recall a survey wheel calibration
that matches your cart.
