Chapter 6: Stiffeners

Stiffener Splice Location

1. All stiffeners should be installed on the exterior of the bin.

2. Attach the stiffener splice (C or D) to splice the two stiffeners (A and B) 10 in. above the horizontal

seam (E) of the bin sidewall.

3. Use 3/8 in. x 1 in. bin bolt to install the splice to the stiffeners.

NOTE:

Make sure to have the bolt head on the inside of the bin.
