ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
It is extremely important that nobody passes through the working area of
the machine except the operator.
The protection guards have been put in place by the manufacturer to
protect the safety of the operator.
During operation the protection guards must not be remove for any
reason.
Danger of injury
To carry out the operations described it is obligatory to wear protective
gloves, glasses or a protective visor and safety shoes.
CAUTION
Before setting about adjusting or replacing the blades or the
counter-blade switch off the engine and remove the key from the
panel, and for the PTO version, disconnect the cardan shaft.
It is obligatory to wear protective gloves and glasses or a visor.
CAUTION:
Never rotate the flywheel by hand. Before putting your
hands near the blades or the counter-blade make sure
the flywheel is at a complete standstill.
11.2 Immobilising the flywheel for
maintenance operations
N.B.: before setting about adjusting the
blades, or the counter-blade, or replacing
them for sharpening, it is necessary to
immobilise the flywheel in the most
suitable position, to avoid it rotating
during maintenance operations.
Switch off the engine and make sure
the flywheel

is at a complete
standstill.
Remove the inspection panel, taking
out the four M10 fixing screws
(E)
.
Insert a sufficiently robust wooden
wedge
(C)
between the frame and the
flywheel so as to immobilise it.
With the aid of a hook tool extract the
material that has accumulated inside.
N.B.: Never use your hands to remove material!
Do not put your hands near the
flywheel.
Put back the inspection panel.
