Selection of Installing Position and Precautions
● Selection of Installing Position
The installation of air conditioner unit must comply with the local safety regulations.
The installation quality will directly affect the normal use of your air conditioner, so that
the user shall not install by yourself. After purchase, please contact your vendor and
have your air conditioner installed and tested by professional installation technicians
according to the installation instructions.
Do not switch on the air conditioner until all the installation works have been completed.
● Selection of Installing Position for Indoor Unit
Avoid direct sunshine.
Ensure that the top hanging rod, ceiling and building structures have adequate strength to support the
weight of the indoor unit.
The drainage pipe is easy to connect out.
The intake and outlet air flow will not be obstructed.
The indoor connection pipe is easy to connect outdoors.
Do not install at a place with flammable or explosive substances or gases.
Do not install at a place with corrosive gas or subject to severe dust, salty fog, smoke or excessive
moisture.

Selection of Installing Position for Outdoor Unit
The outdoor unit must be installed on firm and solid supporting plane.
The outdoor unit shall be as close as possible to the indoor unit, so as to minimize the length of
refrigerating pipe and number of bends.
Avoid placing the outdoor unit beneath the window or between the buildings, as this may cause the
normal working noise to invade into the room.
The intake and outlet air flow will not be obstructed.
Install at a place with good ventilation, so that the machine can breathe and exhaust enough air.
Do not install at a place with flammable or explosive substances or a place with severe dust, salty fog or
pollutant air.
No air duct shall be installed at the inlet and outlet of the outdoor unit. When the air
conditioner is under indoor heating mode, the condensate water will flow down from the
base of outdoor unit. When the temperature of outdoor air is below 0 (32 ), the
condensate water will be frozen. Take care that the installation of outdoor unit shall not
affect the radiating.
CAUTIONS!
Installing at the following places might result in trouble of the air conditioner. If unavoidable, please contact
Gree's franchise repair center.

The place full of oil; Salt area beside the sea;

The place with sulfurated gas (e.g. sulfurated hot spring);

The place where high-frequency facilities exist (e.g. radio equipment, electric welder and medical
equipment);

Special environment.
