Chapter 7 – Troubleshooting

Why do I get the message “Firebird Not Detected,” even
though it is connected correctly? Or why do I get an error mes-
sage when I attempt to configure the Firebird?

Some uncommon keyboard BIOS controllers cause a communication problem
between the joystick and computer through your keyboard. To solve the
problem, try using a /k or -k switch when you run the FCC.EXE and FBD.EXE
programs:

Type FCC /k at the DOS prompt to activate the Control Console.

Type FBD /k [setname] to configure Firebird 2 from the command line.
