Chapter 3 – Firebird Control Console

The Button Test will overwrite the current configuration you have set for
Firebird 2. After the test is complete, you will have to reconfigure
Firebird 2.

A warning appears on the screen: “This diagnostic needs to overwrite the
current Firebird configuration.”

2. Select Yes to continue.

3. When the Button Diagnostic window prompts you, press each button, one

at a time until you have pressed every button on the Firebird. The buttons
on the screen image turn yellow when you press the corresponding joystick
buttons and red when you release them.

4. Select Close Diagnostic after you have pressed all the buttons.

When the Button Test is complete, a test report details any errors it may have
found.

If there is a problem with your joystick buttons, you will receive a message
saying that an error was detected in the button diagnostic. Select Troubleshoot-
ing– Error Messages from the Control Console’s Help for an explanation.

This test is not supported if you are running the Firebird Control Console under
OS/2.
