throttle control. To use the throttle, push it forward (up) to increase speed; pull
it back (down) to reduce speed.
Some programs, such as Microsoft ® Flight Simulator ™ , require you to set
the throttle to its “off” position (all the way back) each time you start a new
scenario.
If your game or simulator supports only keyboard throttle control, uncheck this
box to disable the throttle, and examine the game’s commands for “increase
and decrease throttle.” Simulators that don’t support joystick throttle control
commonly use one of two types of keyboard throttle control: incremental and
absolute.
Incremental keyboard throttle:
The game uses repeating characters
(like + and -) for acceleration and deceleration. If your game uses this type of
throttle control, you can assign the “increase throttle” and “decrease throttle”
commands to the Plus and Minus buttons on the joystick’s base.
Absolute keyboard throttle:
The game uses sequential keys (e.g., 1 2 3
4 5...9) for acceleration and deceleration. If your game uses this type of
throttle control, use the keyboard.
