(5) Turn the plotter back on. Next, connect an oscilloscope or multi-meter to the main board's TP14 pin

(P100's Pin 4), and then manually hold down or release the pen holder while you check that the
voltage levels conform to the table below.

When the pen holder is lowered

approx. + 5 V

When the pen holder is raised

approx. - 5 V

If the voltage levels are not approx.

5 V, perform all of the following and then adjust the pen servo

again.

•

Check the CAUTION remarks on the previous page.

•

Check that the pen block is properly mounted.

•

Check that the pen height sensor is properly mounted.

•

Check the power unit's supply voltages.

•

Adjust the pen offset again.

(6) Be sure to perform this adjustment whenever the pen block has been replaced.
