DC Power Supply Replacement
The cabinet has three DC power supplies (
not
including the power supply inside the computer).
•
+5/+12 VDC supply powers the Audio Amp, GVRI/O Mini PCB, and lighting components.
•
+12/+24 VDC supply powers the Knocker Solenoid in the seat.
•
+24 VDC supply powers LCD monitor. See
Monitor Power Supply Replacement
on page
37 for replacement procedures.
Perform the following steps to replace the +5/+12 VDC or +12/24 VDC power supply:
SHOCK HAZARD. Disconnect the AC power cord before performing
the following procedure.
If a power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the equivalent
power cord available from GLOBAL VR or your distributor.
1.
Turn the cabinet OFF and disconnect the AC power cord.
2.
Remove the electronics access panel (see page 25).
3.
Disconnect the wires from the DC power supply terminals.
4.
Remove the two (2) Phillips screws holding the power supply to the cabinet. (Be careful not to
remove the screw that secures the terminal plate to the +5/+12 VDC power supply.)
5.
Before connecting the DC output wires, connect a volt meter and adjust the voltage from the pot
on the front of the power supply as follows:
•
+5/+12 VDC Power Supply:
adjust the +5VDC output to b5.05 and +5.1 VDC
•
+12/+24 VDC Power Supply:
adjust the +24VDC output to b24.0 and +24.5 VDC
6.
Reverse the removal steps to install the new power supply. Check the labels on each wire and be
sure to connect them to the correct terminals. See
Figure 35
on page 58 for connection details.
Marquee Florescent Light Service
Refer to Figure 27. The Marquee is lighted by two 18" florescent fixtures. To replace only a
florescent tube, perform the first two steps below and then replace the tube.
Do the following to replace a florescent fixture. Replace the fixture only with a comparable unit
from GLOBAL VR.
1.
Disconnect the cabinet from AC power.
2.
Remove the ten (10) Torx screws that secure the marquee artwork and clear plastic in place and
remove the clear plastic and artwork.
3.
Disconnect the AC power connector that connects the fixture to the main harness.
4.
Remove the two Phillips screws that secure the fixture to the cabinet and remove the fixture.
5.
Reverse these steps to install the new fixture.
